About The Role

We are looking for an Estate Caretaker to join our Estate Services team.

Do you enjoy cleaning, following a routine and undertaking tasks in a methodical way?

We provide a comprehensive caretaking and cleaning service for our residents through maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the Borough of Great Yarmouth.

We require a reliable and practical individual to join our Estate services team to ensure communal areas including blocks of flats are kept clean, safe and secure. Duties include:

  • Cleaning stairwells and external areas.
  • Reporting faults/environmental issues/anti-social behaviour incidents.
  • Supporting the Housing tenancy team case work
  • Liaising with gardeners, other agencies/ contractors and residents.

This role requires a satisfactory basic disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). 

You are required to have a driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use as part of the role.

About You

We are looking for someone with experience of using manual and mechanical equipment, along with the skills to work confidently and professionally in a public environment, representing Great Yarmouth Borough Council to our residents and to the wider community.  

You will need experience of using mobile devices and computerised management systems, to record work undertaken and to notify teams of maintenance and repairs required in communal areas.

The role is physical, with the requirement to climb stairs and walk for long periods of time, and you will be working in all weather conditions.
