About The Role

Providing professional high quality and customer focused Planed and Reactive repairs service to GYBC and to ensure effective Management and compliance within the team. 

 Purpose of role  

  • To monitor, inspect and Supervise Operational team members equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment/repair. 

  • Ensure good quality workmanship, which upholds company standards, complies with building regulations and follows safety requirements, ensuring an effective, courteous service is provided. 

  • Survey and report via softwares for integration into procured suppliers systems and GYBC data base for true job costing and labour allocation. 

  • To maintain the Operational skills matrices' data base to advise of compliancy budget forecast for the training needs of the R&M operational team. 

  • Responsible for the R&M MSDS COSHH data base and control documents. 

  • Implementation of H&S records such as HAVS, PUWER, and the asset register providing evidence for auditable tests and process.

About You

The successful candidate will also be confident in constructively challenging both themselves and colleagues to drive continuous improvement.

Knowledge of additional trades and an understanding of financial management principles would be advantageous and will help you contribute to the wider success of the service.

Essential requirements:

  • Recognised Playground Inspection qualification.
  • Minimum three years' playground inspection and assessment experience.
  • IOSH, NEBOSH and/or PIC qualifications, or willingness to achieve relevant qualifications.
  • Good working knowledge of COSHH and health and safety legislation.
  • Ability to work at height.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Flexibility to participate in an emergency call-out rota and occasional evening/weekend work.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of other trades.
  • Financial awareness and budget understanding.
