About The Role

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Project Co-ordinator to support the exciting Winter Gardens Restoration Project in Great Yarmouth. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a landmark heritage and community initiative, working alongside a passionate team and key delivery partners including Out There Arts, Norfolk Museums Service, and Freshly Greated.

Key Responsibilities

 
Project support and co-ordination of the delivery of the Activity and Engagement Plan, ensuring that key activities and participation opportunities are delivered in line with the approved plan.
 
  • Collaborate with delivery partners—Out There ArtsNorfolk Museums Service, and Freshly Greated—to ensure successful implementation of engagement activities.
  • Work with the main contractor to ensure the provision of work experience and internship opportunities as outlined in the project plan.
  • Support the volunteer co-ordinator to build and maintain a strong and active volunteer group.
  • Coordinate and support the interpretation strategy, working with interpretation designers to align content with the engagement plan.
  • Assist in the delivery of the fundraising strategy, working closely with the appointed fundraising consultant.
  • Support key procurement activities related to identifying a future operator for the Winter Gardens as part of its long-term operations.
  • Maintain project documentation and reporting using PRINCE2 methodologies, including risk and issue logs, action tracking, and milestone monitoring.
  • Organise and document project meetings, including agendas, minutes, and action logs.
  • Liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Collate and reconcile financial information for reporting to funding bodies.

About You

What We’re Looking For

Experience & Knowledge:

  • Proven experience in administrative or project support roles.
  • Familiarity with project management environments and systems.
  • Experience organising meetings, taking minutes, and supporting project teams.

Qualifications:

  • Business Administration qualification or equivalent.
  • 5 GCSEs (A–C) including Maths and English.
  • PRINCE2 Foundation or Practitioner certification (or equivalent).

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.

Personal Attributes:

  • Self-awareness, integrity, and resilience.
  • A collaborative and people-focused mindset.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends.
