Outreach Officer

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they have the following skills, knowledge and work experience:

• Excellent IT, active listening, communication, negotiation and advocacy skills
• Knowledge of housing and homelessness legislation; welfare rights; mental health issues; the criminal justice system; drug and alcohol misuse; and safeguarding
• Experience of working with people experiencing homelessness 
• Experience of completing housing and support needs and risk assessments, and Person-Centred Support Plans
• Experience of working collaboratively, communicating effectively, and building strong relationships with partner organisations
• Experience of building trust and rapport with clients/individuals

You will be self-motivated and able to work under pressure, identifying innovative solutions.  You will be able to build effective relationships with clients, colleagues and external agencies and able to deal with difficult situations.  You will be empathetic, approachable, supportive, flexible and resilient, working affectively within a team.
