About The Role

Purpose of role:

To provide technical assistance within the Property & Assets Team on all land and property issues together with estate & facilities management services for the Council’s land and property holdings.

To participate in and contribute to the Corporate and Property Services strategies for the Council’s assets.

To contribute to the Council’s Asset Management Plan by assisting in negotiations and successfully concluding acquisitions, disposals, lease renewals, rent reviews, licences, variations and preparation of electronic plans.

Seek to achieve the strategic objectives of the Council by participating in team decisions and the efficient, economic and effective use of land and property in the ownership of the Council.

About You

The successful applicant will join an establish property service team, providing support to both internal departments and members of the public.

 

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they have the following skills, knowledge and work experience:

  • Experience of working in an office environment, with experience of a property based environment being an advantage.

 

  • Ability to self-manage a given workload, working as part of the wider team without requiring close supervision.

 

  • Strong ICT skills, with experience of data management software being an advantage.

 

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, and able to work effectively with a wide range of people.

 

  • The ability to prioritise tasks at busy periods to ensure that essential work is identified and completed in a timely manner.
