Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference to local communities? We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Floor Layer / Multi-Skilled Operative to join our Repairs Team, helping to maintain and improve council-owned homes and facilities across the borough.
As a Floor Layer / Multi-Skilled Operative, you will carry out a range of flooring works within occupied and void properties, ensuring that all repairs and installations are completed to a high standard. Your work will include welded flooring, wet rooms, safety stair edging, transition areas, latex and levelling compounds, carpet and hard flooring installations, alongside associated maintenance tasks.
Working independently, you will diagnose issues, carry out repairs, and provide excellent customer service to residents. You will use mobile technology to record work completed, update property records, and provide photographic evidence of repairs. The role also involves contributing to responsive repairs, property upgrades, and participating in the out-of-hours emergency call-out rota.
The post holder will ensure all work is completed to a high standard, in line with the health and safety regulations and customer service expectations.
