We are looking for a Tenant Manager to review Council owned assets and to provide a commercially focused property service, maximising the return on investment, supporting the delivery of the Council’s economic, housing and investment ambitions and ensuring all property is well managed and maintained, the successful candidate will be responsible for the Surveyor team and all associated tasks.
You will be managing a range of high value sea front development projects, and will be expected to provide a professional, efficient and customer focused asset and tenant management service in relation to the management of the Councils extensive Commercial portfolio in accordance with the Asset Management Plan and Investment Strategy.
What will you be doing?
You will be responsible in delivering the effective management of the Council’s investment portfolio, dealing with all Landlord and Tenant transactions and delivering excellent customer service to tenants and internal stakeholders alike.
You will also undertake the redeployment of property in accordance with strategic asset management plans and regeneration projects whilst supporting the Head of Property and Assets in delivering a range of strategic corporate objectives in relation to the Councils property portfolio, ensuring their effective delivery in line with corporate strategy.
On a daily basis you will advise on local government regulations, codes of practice, valuation and development risks on emerging developments.
You will be responsible for reporting and managing capital expenditure in accordance with the programme budgets and also prepare and present reports, giving a summary of any issues and their implications and that they meet Council guidelines.
The post if offered on a permanent contract.
The property and Asset team are responsible for delivering management and maintenance services to the Council’s commercial, investment and office portfolio, comprising approximately 900 individual assets. The department collaborates closely with colleagues across the council along with partner organisations and contractors to deliver a challenging and varied workload. The Council benefits from having properties ranging in age between 5 and 150 years old, so there is always the professional challenge of fitting the latest technology and legislation into a wide variety of assets.
This role offers hybrid working arrangements requiring you to work from the corporate office buildings, make site visits as well as the flexibility of home working as appropriate.
