Bereavement Services Officer

Bereavement Services are a small team located at The Crematorium, Magdalen Lawn Cemetery in Gorleston.

The post is a temporary contract of 19 ½ hours a week working on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9.30am to 4pm with 20 minutes for lunch. Duties will include responsibility for the compilation of appropriate records relating to cremations and burials, data input onto the BACAS database system to produce statutory paperwork required prior to cremation and interment within specific service timescales. Further duties include the preparation and production of invoices updating fees and to process dedication and renewal applications and payments, the preparation of orders for associated requisites, the maintaining and provision of accurate records and reports in accordance with the Council’s procedures.
