About The Role

Are you seeking a new challenge in a role that positively impact the local environment and enhances the quality of life for residents in social housing. 

 We are looking for a Estate Services Support Officer to join our Social Landlord Service to work collaboratively with residents to  monitor service delivery and identify opportunities for improvements to local estates.

The role will require you to:-

  • Undertake quality assurance surveys of communal areas reporting issues impacting local communities and progress chase until resolved.
  • Collate environmental performance information and enter accurately into appropriate management systems.
  • Action reports of trees causing safety/structural issues through liaising with the Council’s Tree and Landscape Officer to verify action required.
  • Supervise caretakers ensuring excellent services maintained.
  • Lead administration of Love Clean Streets App for Tenancy Services, ensuring outstanding issues regularly progress chased until resolved.
  • Use Council financial management system to raise/goods receipt orders for works required in accordance with allocated budget for each service area.
  • Liaise with contractors to resolve general service enquiries.
  • Identify residents with excellent gardens and signpost entries to borough competitions.
  • Assist in reviewing the service as required, working towards continuous improvement and exploring innovative approaches to service delivery.
  • Act as an ambassador for the Council, promoting the organisation in a positive manner supporting the delivery of resident engagement, identifying; recruiting and working with Estate Monitors & Area Reps.

The Estate Services Support Officer is a key part of our Tenancy Services Team and pivotal to the continued success of our business and the successful implementation of our vision of putting customers first. 

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they have the following skills, knowledge and work experience:
 
  • Undertake open spaces inspections and oversee contractor relationships.
  • Supervisory experience and evidence of conflict resolution.
  • Interest in community engagement to deliver positive outcomes.
  • Managing and resolving horticultural and cleansing related issues.
  • Good communication skills and able to work effectively with the public.
  • Able to use mobile devices and computerised management systems including outlook (excel & word) to an advanced level.

  • Enthusiastic; enjoys a busy work environment with a caring and helpful nature.
