Driving Transformation, Delivering Impact.
Great Yarmouth Borough Council is a highly ambitious local authority, maintaining a clear strategic focus on enhancing the Borough, improving quality of life for its residents, and maximising opportunities for local businesses. Our communities play a central role in plans to redevelop public spaces, enhance arts and culture, support housing, and foster jobs, businesses, and learning opportunities. The aim is to benefit residents, businesses, and visitors.
With the potential of Local Government Reorganisation on the horizon, this is an opportunity to position Great Yarmouth Borough Council at the forefront of modern, agile, and customer-centred public services. We are embarking on one of the most significant transformation journeys in our history, rethinking how we work, improving the customer experience, and ensuring our services are fit for the future. This is a significant opportunity to make a tangible difference to the lives of our residents, businesses, and visitors.
As our new Head of Transformation and Digital your remit will go far beyond technology, focusing on, process improvement, cultural change, and new ways of working, ensuring that the organisation is positioned and ready for the future delivery of services for our customers. This role will be pro-active in preparing the Council for Local Government Reorganisation.
Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Resources, and working closely with our Executive Leadership Team, you will develop and deliver a council-wide transformation programme that drives greater efficiency, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction, leading organisational transformation projects across services to achieve consistent, measurable outcomes and in preparedness for LGR. This will include redesigning business processes and working practices to be modern, agile, and customer-focused, while harnessing digital tools, data, and innovation, from automation and AI to improved collaboration platforms, to enable and sustain change.

Interviews will be held on: Thursday 11 December 2025
