About The Role

Deliver outreach activities targeted at individuals who are rough sleeping or at risk of rough sleeping.  Ensuring that vulnerable individuals are provided with appropriate support to facilitate their access to housing and other vital services.  Working in partnership and part of a strong multi-disciplinary team.  This role will involve working on a shift basis ensuring cover is provided across 365 days from 6am-11pm.

About You

The successful candidate will have a strong background in supporting people experiencing homelessness, with a clear understanding of the complexities and barriers individuals in these situations often face. They will be confident in carrying out thorough Needs and Risk Assessments and in developing person-centred support plans that reflect each individual’s goals, risks and circumstances.

A key part of the role involves partnership working, so the candidate will need to demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with a wide range of organisations. They will be skilled at building positive, professional relationships that support good outcomes for clients.

Given the nature of the work, the candidate will have experience supporting individuals with complex needs or challenging behaviour and will be able to remain calm, patient and professional under pressure. They will also have the ability to build trust and rapport with people who may be distrustful of services or reluctant to engage, using empathy, respect and persistence to develop positive working relationships.
