Great Yarmouth Borough Council is offering two, four-year Environmental Health Practitioner Degree Apprenticeship, providing a structured route to becoming a professionally qualified Environmental Health Practitioner while gaining valuable real-world experience across a wide range of regulatory services.

About the Role
As an Environmental Health Apprentice, you will combine degree-level study with practical workplace experience, learning from experienced officers while contributing to important frontline services that protect residents, businesses and the environment.
Throughout the apprenticeship, you will gain experience across a broad range of environmental health disciplines, including:
- Food safety
- Health and safety
- Environmental protection
- Pollution and nuisance investigation
- Public health
- Housing standards
- Regulatory compliance and enforcement activities
As your knowledge and confidence grow, you'll gradually take on more responsibility, including managing a defined caseload, supporting investigations, analysing information, working with residents and businesses.
