This role is a full time, fixed term (3 months) position of 42.5 hours per week. The work pattern is based on a rotational shift pattern between Tuesday and Friday. Weekend and Bank Holiday working may be required to meet operational and business needs. A full UK Class 2 driving licence is essential for this post.

Great Yarmouth Services Limited (GYS LTD) is a wholly owned trading company of Great Yarmouth Borough Council, established on 1 April 2023 to provide a range of frontline and commercial services on behalf of the Council.

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated HGV Driver/Loader to join our Waste & Street Scene Department and play an important role in supporting the delivery of high-quality waste collection services across Great Yarmouth.

Reporting directly to the Refuse Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting the effective day-to-day operation of the Refuse service to ensure these services are delivered safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard.

Great Yarmouth Services is a Local Authority Trading company, wholly owned by Great Yarmouth Borough Council. It was established in April 2023 to deliver the Council’s waste and street scenes services. Responsible for waste collections, maintenance and upkeep of Council-owned outdoor grounds and leisure facilities. While also ensuring and maintaining the cleanliness of public areas.
