Ideally you will be qualified to Level 5 CIPD / Chartered MCIPD, or have recent equivalent experience in a similar role, including a good practical knowledge and understanding of the core HR activities and current employment law, as well as first-class interpersonal and listening skills. You will be adept at working at pace and juggling competing demands whilst delivering a high quality service.
In addition, you will be a team player who is prepared to support where needed, an excellent communicator with a track record of building relationships, delivery of timely and accurate HR solutions and the proven ability to act on your own initiative.
You will also share the Council’s values and commit to the HR Team’s purpose: To provide a professional, proactive, and efficient HR and payroll service. To be ambassadors for, and to make a positive contribution to, the Council by enabling everyone to be equipped with the skills and experience needed to be the best they can be.
