We are looking for a Property and Assets Project Manager to lead on and deliver Property and Asset projects, supporting the wider council and ensuring that works are completed in a timely manner.
You will be responsible for the delivery of projects across a range of high value and varied properties within GYBC, you will be expected to support the Property and Assets Team as well as ad hoc projects from the wider council.
What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for managing and delivering Council Property and Asset projects, ensuring excellent governance arrangements throughout.
You will ensure that each project is managed using PRINCE2 principles, aligned to the organisation’s strategic objectives and ensure that benefits and outcomes are identified and realized within agreed quality, time and resource constraints
The post if offered on a permanent contract.
The property and Asset team are responsible for delivering management and maintenance services to the Council’s commercial, investment and office portfolio, comprising approximately 900 individual assets. The department collaborates closely with colleagues across the council along with partner organisations and contractors to deliver a challenging and varied workload. The Council benefits from having properties ranging in age between 5 and 150 years old, so there is always the professional challenge of fitting the latest technology and legislation into a wide variety of assets.
This role offers hybrid working arrangements requiring you to work from the corporate office buildings, make site visits as well as the flexibility of home working as appropriate.
