Exciting Opportunity: Project Manager - Major Projects at Great Yarmouth Borough Council

Great Yarmouth Borough Council has secured significant funding to deliver its ambitious capital programme. The Capital Projects Department is currently managing a diverse portfolio of exciting major initiatives and are seeking an enthusiastic Project Manager to join the team. As the new Project Manager, you will be at the forefront of delivering major projects that will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our community.

You'll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing large-scale projects, working closely with stakeholders and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery aligned with the Council's strategic goals and objectives.

What You'll Need:

• Practical experience in delivering major projects, preferably in the public sector or infrastructure development.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, governance, risk management, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills, paired with excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• PRINCE2 Project Management Qualification (or equivalent) and proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Self-motivation with the capacity to manage competing priorities and achieve targets under tight deadlines.
