The Borough of Great Yarmouth is about to launch a new Selective Licensing Scheme and is looking for motivated and enthusiastic support officers to help administer it.
Ideally, you will have experience of dealing with members of the public or customers and the ability to use common IT applications. An understanding of the private rented sector including common issues experienced by landlords and tenants would also be desirable.
Great Yarmouth is a great place to live and work. Tourism and leisure play an important role in the local economy, from Great Yarmouth’s bustling Golden Mile seafront packed with amusements, attractions and restaurants, to the beautiful countryside dotted with windmills and access to the Broads National Park, with riverside pubs and tearooms.
However, there are also significant problems associated with poor housing conditions and high deprivation. We have a clear focus on improving the lives of our residents and maximising economic prosperity and a safe and a healthy privately rented sector is crucial to achieve this. Our new selective licensing scheme is therefore an essential part of our plan for the borough.
If you are ready for your next challenge, you want to work somewhere where you can make a real difference to the Borough, we would love to hear from you.
