As an Apprentice Electrician, you will have the opportunity to develop a rewarding career within the Repairs & Maintenance service, gaining practical experience while working towards a recognised electrical qualification.
You will work alongside experienced electricians and other trades, learning how to carry out electrical repairs, maintenance and installations safely and to a high standard across our housing stock and other Council properties.
The role will combine practical on-the-job experience with formal training, allowing you to develop your technical knowledge, skills and confidence. You will also learn the importance of customer service, health and safety, compliance and working respectfully in tenants’ homes.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable and keen to learn, with a genuine interest in becoming a qualified electrician. You will be supported throughout your apprenticeship with the aim of developing the skills and experience needed to build a long-term career within the Council’s Repairs & Maintenance service and make a positive difference to the lives of our tenants.
