We are looking for a Building Surveyor to join our Property and Asset Management Team to deliver high-quality customer focussed repairs, planned and reactive maintenance and project delivery. The work ranges from small scale repair maintenance to design and delivery of new build facilities, working as part of a larger design team as appropriate.
The post if offered on a permanent contract.
The property and Asset team are responsible for delivering management and maintenance services to the Council’s commercial, investment and office portfolio, comprising approximately 900 individual assets. The department collaborates closely with colleagues across the council along with partner organisations and contractors to deliver a challenging and varied workload. The Council benefits from having properties ranging in age between 5 and 150 years old, so there is always the professional challenge of fitting the latest technology and legislation into a wide variety of assets.
This role offers hybrid working arrangements requiring you to work from the corporate office buildings, make site visits as well as the flexibility of home working as appropriate.
