About The Role

Are you passionate about meeting housing need, and are experienced in housing strategy development and/or delivering social housing?  If the answer is yes, then we want to hear from you.  As a Housing Strategy Manager, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of housing strategies, policies, and projects.  This role involves the development and enabling of new housing, undertaking housing-led regeneration and bringing empty housing back into use.

You will work in the Council's housing strategy and development team and be responsible for ensuring:

  • Fit for purpose housing strategies, plans and policies
  • Housing market data
  • Additional affordable and supported housing
  • Empty homes are brought back into use
  • Housing-led regeneration to support economic growth

About You

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they have the following skills, knowledge and work experience:

  • A relevant degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong project management, communication, negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in housing strategy, planning, development, or project management
  • Knowledge of housing policy, legislation, and regulations
  • Experience of affordable housing development and regeneration projects and of working with a range of stakeholders
  • Experience in data analysis, research, and report writing

You will be proactive, and have a solution focused approach to problem-solving.  You will have strong attention to detail, whilst working under pressure and managing competing priorities.
